I used to live there.
I prefer Osaka to Tokyo.

This is a paradice to enjoy any meal..they are amazingly cheap but very nice, never happen in Tokyo.
Lots of shops as well.
If you are shoppaholic, must go Osaka, not Tokyo.

An incredibly efficent subway/train system, polite and honest people, more bars per person in the Namba area than perhaps anywhere else in the world with the possible exception of Tokyo, restaurants for every taste and pocketbook all make Osaka a great city to live in and to visit.

We lived in the great Osaka area for about five years and loved it.
