04/10/2008 | Back in my chewing days, I used a lot of Hawken. I couldn't smoke on the job. The problem is that you go through a can faster than most.
I also had a problem that this stuff shredded the tip of my tongue. You chewers and dippers out there know what I mean. I remember a story about Hawken. I had a friend who was as addicted to this stuff as I was. He came up to me and he was out. He asked for a dip. I offered him a new can unopened. He cracked it open, and he stated getting into a new can was just like getting a new girl friend. You never knew what you were going to get, but you had a great time exploring and learning! Ah, Hawken.

03/23/2008 | I started dipping in the early 80s. I started out using Hawken and to this day consider it a starter product. As I remember it tasted like certs breath mints. I loved it at the time but I was a 14 year old child at the time. I've been using Copenhagen for the past 22 years.

That's retarted...go smoke a cigarette(people who chew regularly dont even get a buzz) As for Hawken, I guess it just depends on what type of person you are but personally, that stuff is nasty(no nicotine, bad taste, horrible cut, and an all around waste of money). Go for the good stuff and chew some fresh cope or grizzly..hell..try some rooster!

05/22/2007 | First of all, please do not submit any more reviews if you don't know how to spell. I get sick of trying to read shit that looks like it was written by a four year old. As for Hawken, I agree, the cut is a little rough, and the nicotine is lower than others. However I prefer the taste to other comparably priced snuff. Skoal is probably the best. As for all of you idiots that like Grizzly, that is the worst tasting shit in the world. I would rather get a big dip of worm dirt since it tastes the same. Quit being a cheap ass and pay the extra 1.50 for a can of Skoal!!!!!

02/10/2006 | I remember when me and the local retards used to snag a can of this candy and cram our lips full and hide out in the clubhouse we built in the woods and build fires and look at playboys. I was like 8 or 9 then. It dont do much for me now, niether does a clubhouse in the woods or playboys. I prefer Grizzly, bars and the real thing now. Try grizzly, the most potent best tasting and longest lasting you can get. Only $2 a can, dont let the price fool ya!

12/05/2005 | Great Chew, for the people who don't like the saltyness stuff, and the harsh taste and burn of the other tobaccos, Hawken is it. Some people say it is a kid chew. It is just one of the bests. The sweet, mild taste of Hawken makes it truly athentic.

10/25/2005 | Hawken didnt do anything for me. The nicotine is low, the fun is low, and it seems like the tobacco is low too. basically 90 percent sugar, 10 percent tobacco. it felt like i could just eat it. BLAH....only if you want to try dip and not get any buzzzzzzzz

08/24/2003 | oh my god what was usstc thinking...this dip is too intense! the wild berry, wintergreen, and the icy mint taste and smell like candy, it makes your jaws hurt and it floats around as you dip it. rooster used to be cheap and come in a 1.5 oz can. now it comes in a 1.2 oz can and it is the same price as regular dip. why would i pay the same price for this sh#t? might as well get skoal if you get this.. if you still dip rooster i pray for ya..

01/24/2001 | This stuff is like candy. Actually it is sweeter than candy, it is like like chewing on toothpaste. I remember that this is the first dip that I ever had way back when and it was a good place to start (if you indeed need to start anywhere with dipping).
