Overall a good bunch of people. I've been one of them for about 30 years, but since coming on line, I have discovered a sub-group who claim to be fans, but insist on behaving and speaking in a most inexplicably "spoiled" manner. Thats the only way I can describe it. The state of the football program is strong by historical standards, but this overly sensitive bunch absolutely despises Chan Gailey. A lot of their vitriol is of a personal nature as well as professional, (insulting his intelligence, accusing him of stealing his paycheck, etc.) I've been many things in my many years as a Jacket fan, but spoiled ain't one of them. They claim to be the best type of fan...ones who "expect excellence" and the Lomardi-ish "winning is the only thing" types, when really, I believe that they are just naive. And, oh so whiny. They hate the idea of the Jackets being successful under Gailey because it runs counter to their agenda. Relax, fellow Jacket fans, and enjoy the ride...wins, losses and all that comes with both.

From my experience, Georgia Tech fans are pretty benign. While they do indeed support their teams, they are less rabid yet more polite (than say Duke fans are for basketball). Of course, not having a strong natural rival within the ACC (Georgia being in the SEC) doesn't foster extremes.

I went to every away VT game this year and out of every single one, GT's fans were the most impressive and loud. Ive been Wake Forrest, Clemson, UNC, Miami and GT (in the ACC).
