Light weight, huge power, what other than legend could describe this ultimate, and aged machine.

this is the greatest sport atv of all time. i have an 86 and there is nothing better then the sound and smell of a 2 stroke hittin powerband. only bad thing is it spins through all 6 gears. nothing touches honda.

I had the luck to find an original owner of a 1986 trx250r.That was about 10 yrs ago. I still have her an she is now rippin the gamis sand dunes with a new esr330cc motor plus all the other mods to think of...Sand sports mag just did another article on the 250r, there is a reason it is the best quad ever!!!!!!!!!!

These guys that gave this machine a terrible rating have either never rode one or are narrowminded nitwits that are faithful to another manufacturer. I have been riding Yamahas (faithfully) for years, but a couple of years ago got the chance to ride one of my friends trinity built 295 r's. this machine is unbelievably fast. Ever since i rode it i have been trying to buy it from him and finally got him to let go of it. This is the best investment i have ever made. YFZ's, 450R's,& built raptors have all recently been eaten up by this machine.And im not talking by a cunt hair, i am talking handing there ass's to them. In my opinion the best quad ever built- you can go trail ride the woods, head to the dunes for the day and then kick some ass at the drag, without having to do anyting, very versital

250r's will never be beaten I have an 85 atc 250r that is in awesome shape. any new quad that can move as fast as these older 2 strokes are more than likely a lot more than what i paid. Thats the best part, racing a new yfz and stickin right with it to the end and then after the race hearing what he paid compared to me

Nothing is like a Honda 250 r, I have a 82' that hauls ass and i wouldnt have any thing else. Ride Red

You can't say enough good things about a HONDA. I had my 250R for about a year and a half. My bike didn't run as well as I wanted it to, but it still hauled butt. I knew some people that had great running 250R's and they were crazy fast machines. Nothing beats the thrill of hitting the powerband of a two-stroke. Nothing beats a HONDA.

i have an old honda 250r its not running good now but i cant wait till my dad gets it running it is an awsome quad to drive it is so fast is is an 88 honda 250R

There is a reason this machine dominated atv racing for 15 years after it was discontinued. Engineering and performance that couldn't be touched. I've ridden them but I've never owned one because who can afford them when used ones would go for almost double the original msrp. With the new 450R's, YFZ's and now the LTR-450 Quadracer we're finally seeing a shift away from the 250r's and I might be able to afford one soon.

i dont know why poeple arnt talkin about the legend on here ... This Quad is by far the best quad ever made... ... ... this is true ... ... ... its a fact. until the god damn epa got involved and is puttin a stop to 2 strokes ... thats why they came out with the new 4 strokes witch suck. i have 3 250r's i love everyone of them. ONe pure mx race bike, one sand bike, and one for the everyday use ... ... ... ill never part with my 250r's ... and ill never ride a 4 stroke ... ... ... besides my trx 250X
