EuroDisney, Paris, France 3

This was our 3rd trip in as many years to Euro Disney, we have always gone in December when the crowds just are not as bad in fact its the only time to go in my view, we stayed in the Explorers Hotel just 5 mins outside Disney and I must say this Hotel is pretty good value for money and the rooms are not bad. Saying that the Hotel is getting a little tired in places and could do with a good clean, there were stains up the walls when we arrived and still there when we left 4 days later ( i assume it was coffee or should I say I hope )
As for the prices in the Hotel...7.50 for 1 pint is just a poke in the eye but then again its a captive audiance so if you want beer you pay for it. My advise bring your own wine.
Disney itself is great. Its also a massive rip off and because our is rubbish that does not help either. Go and enjoy yourself no matter what age you are but be warned .....you will be totally poked in the eye and they will come back for eyebrows.

This was our second trip to EuroDisney in about 5 years, each time with a grandson in tow. We liked it both times, and consider it much better than the Florida equivalent. The addition of decent food, alcohol, and a little chic goes a long way to mitigating the unremitting crassness of this type of thing. The staff are extremely friendly, particularly if you bother to use a little French, and have a satisfying irony about their job that stops you falling completely for the Disney patter. The food is a bit expensive but, unlike the parent park, at least it is enjoyable. For example, the dorade with asparagus and artichoke I had on our last day would have baffled any American theme park chef. Combine that with interesting wine and there is just no contest, DLP wins hands down! As to the rides etc., well it's so easy to find something to moan about. The way to look at it is in terms of can you fill your time, and do you have fun doing it? Answer, YES! My only criticism is that the use of French all the time ruins presentations to children from other countries. Adults have no excuse, they should learn a bit of French, but kids really have enough boring learning to do without that. This is particularly irksome when one considers that there are comparatively few French kids around.

Just returned from Eurodisney with my boyfriend. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days at hotel Santa Fe. We didnt spend much time at the hotel but the time we was there we both found the facilities to be of a good standard. We only went to breakfast on the first day as it was all a little too manick for my liking! Kids were running about everywhere with their croissants!!!! We didnt know until the last day that we could have paid a little extra and got a cooked breakfast.... My only critisism though! There was a free shuttle running from the hotel to the park but we found it much easier (and quicker) to walk.... i really enjoyed both parks and found the short queues to be quite suprising! and can i say the aerosmith ride - rocking roller coaster was brilliant!!!!! we went on it about 5 times in a row! i do rate Eurodisney as great but perhaps that is because i haven't been to america... i do plan to go there though for my next visit!!!

Just returned from Eurodisney (family holiday 2 adults, 2 children 5 & 7). Stayed for 3 nights in Explorers Hotel. Hotel was exceptionally clean and staff very helpful. Great hotel for kids offering a swimming pool and big indoor ball play area. Also has a pirate ship to explore with a slide going into the swimming pool and a Disney shop. Breakfast continental which was OK (cereal/rolls/yogurts etc,,) however you could pay an extra 6 euros for full english although it wasn't actually that good! Rooms a little small but comfortable and it was very quiet at night. Free Shuttle bus runs to Disney fairly frequently and is about 10 mins away. Holiday duration was for 3 nights/4 days which was just about enough. We arrived early afternoon on our first day and decided just to take it easy and use the hotel facilities for the first day and get an early night after all the travelling. Food in hotel is fairly limited as it is throughout Disney so be prepared for your kids to live off of chips for the duration of your holiday. Noticed that others have commented about how expensive Disney is and Yes it is!! Restaurants are not too bad, we managed to eat for approx 15-20 per head for adults and 7-10 for kids. Drinks and ice-creams however are a complete rip-off at about 1.60 a bottle!! I have read other peoples comments that you are not allowed to take your own food/drink into the parks however there was no mention of this anywhere and we saw quite a few people with their own packed lunch! Problem is that there there are no local shops other than an Esso garage so it probably still work out quite expensive to take your own food..Definitely isn't a problem taking your own drinks into the park because nobody said anything to us - we took our own bottle of squash and filled up the kids drink bottles from the water in the hotel room before we went - it is very tiring walking round the parks and the kids get very thirsty so I would recommend taking in as much drink as you can carry due to the extortionate prices! There is a Macdonalds in Disney village which is only slightly more expenisve than in the UK therefore if you're only going for a few days, I would recommend you use it for meals/drinks to help keep the price down and it certainly keeps the kids happy! Both parks were good however Walt Disney Studios is not as big as Disneyland and has very little rides - more suited to older children/adults although the kids did get a chance to have their photos taken here with Woody/Jessie from toy story and saw quite a few other disney characters. The disneyland park has much more to do however is so busy that the kids didn't have a chance to get near any of the disney characters here unless you're prepared to push and shove like the alot of visitors do!! My biggest complaint about both parks would be the queue's and the many technical faults! All the main rides we tried to get on had a queue of approx 45mins - 1hour which is quite exhausting with young children getting bored!! Some of the simpler rides for younger children were about half an hour queue which wasn't too bad. The queue's really eat into your time as well! They do operate a fast pass system however it is only on very few rides such as the main attractions like Peter Pan Flight/Thunder Mountain. Get your fast passes early though otherwise you wont get on until late in the evening - Quite a few of the rides had technical faults also and were temporarily closed which was really fustrating - On two of our three days the Peter Pan ride was out of action for most of the day! The Fantasy parade in the evening at Disneyland is well worth staying on for - starts about 10.30pm and everything is lit up - followed by a firework display at 11.15pm which is also very good - you'll enjoy it even if you cant keep the kids awake! Overall, we all enjoyed the holiday and the kids loved it (apart from the queues).. Its a great experience however it is very expensive and I would not say it is a Vaule for Money holiday so be prepared to be out of pocket! It was a good few days, the travel on Eurostar was very good however would probably not go again. Anyone that rates it as GREAT has obviously not been to Disney in America because it doesn't even come close - I definitely felt the magic in America however it was not quite the same feeling in France..I would not visit Eurodisney again, preferring to wait until the children are older and take them to the States..

I have just returned from EuroDisney where I had the time of my life, yes it rained yes there were queues but the atmosphere, rides and attractions made it all worth it! the longest I waited was 45 minutes and that was for the Aerosmith ride, which by the way is very fast!!! I would definitely reccomend however, staying in a hotel away from the park as they appear to be over priced. We stayed in Moulin de Paris and is only cost us 124 euros for 3 nights including continental breakfast, this hotel is 2.5 km from the park and is two bus stops from Disney. The Studio Park although smaller than disney is just as good, perhaps slightly more adult orientated. I did spend a lot on souveneirs but that was my choice! Go, i wasn't disappointed. katie!

I have just returned back to Ireland from Eurodisney after spending 8 days with my 3 kids in Euro disney and stayed in the Explores Hotel in Euro Disney. First day we where advised to start at the back of the euro disney park and work our way forward to each area, this worked well on the friday but I found saturday was too crowded and too long queing. We did all the rides on the rollercoasters and found Thunder mountain brillant. The car stunt show is also very good. The steamboat was good and Disney studios was excellent. At first I thought it was expensive for what we saw.. but all is free as long as you are in the euro disney park. Outside in the Disney village it is a different reality and the restaurants are expensive and drinks and cokes are over priced as to say it is a rip off. We went to to the Wild west show and this was a major rip off as tickets cost the 5 of us 250 euros and the meal included consists of a slim leg of chicken 3 boiled potatoes and a spoon of veg and a tea or coffee..Euro Disney you will see all in 3 days max and as you go each day you discover it isnt as big as you first thought. Dont get me wrong it is good fun and not bad value at 580 euro for 3 days tickets. My advise to anyone going to eurodisney bring plenty money as the Hotels and restaurants are very expensive and the food isnt brillant French cuisine in the plantation Restaurant in the Explores Hotel where we stayed 7 nights and paid 2200 euros was aan isult as my 12 year old daughter who eats little was still hungry after we had lamb dish and starters for 5. After I complained to managment in the restaurant I got a explaination that I should understand French Cuisine * which means very little but it will cost you 158 euros and you will require a takeway in Mac Donalds later.Water 50cl at 4.50 euro and cokes at 6 euro left me feeling totally ripped off. In the Explores Hotel English Breakfast cost 6 euros if you dare to try and eat it. Our first breakfast the young waitress served us burned bacon which was torched and the sausages where tasting awful. My biggest crib was when you got up too late for the burned breakfast and then you had to wait until 12.00 noon for a pizza as the restaurant closed and the shop in the hotel only open early and for very short periods.. so dont think you are going to get a news paper to read as it wont be open after 11am. 12 euro to see a movie on your room tv was also a tip off. The Hotel maybe part of MYTRAVEL.. but there isnt any music in the bar at night.. so once you eat you are in the way as there isnt any thing on in this hotel. The shuttle bus to eurodisney from the hotels is a great idea. The shuttle bus to and from the airport is another 70 euro rip off for my group of 5 people as a taxi is as cheap and better at getting you there in time.My kids loved Euro disney and yes it is enjoyable but be prepared to be ripped off. Aer lingus from Cork over charge to Charles de gaule in Paris as in double what Ryan air charge from Dublin. In all with my group of 5 I had no change out of 6000 euro for the week and wasnt even close to value for money... this is my very honest view of the trip to Euro Disney I had 1st of July 2004.Kids will enjoy it.hotels have a lot to learn, and yes you will have great fun but at a big price.. and also low season is best to enjoy without too much crowds.

EuroDisney, Paris, France 5

Went on holiday with my ex to Paris for 5 days last week (weird i know) and we decided to go to EuroDisney. We did Disney Studios first - I swear the best ride was the Aerosmith rollercoaster as it was in the dark and you had great music in the background. There was a stunts show as well which was really cool - it had loads of cars, motorbikes and fires in it. The parade was crap to be honest and the music really got on my nerves after a while - but the kids seemed to love it. There wasn't really much to do to be honest. We also visited the main one after 5pm (it was dark and raining by then but hey) and we went on Space Mountain and I loved that as well. We had dinner at the EuroDisney Village which was really cool then we had a couple of pints at the bar. We went back the next day and did all the rides we hadn't done the day before - it could be better - but it was a hellva lot of fun. There's loads of places to eat and the place is done up really nicely. The kids will love it - we certainly did!

Disneyland Paris has one amazing attraction: Space Mountain! :o) If you're planning a holiday there, a good advice is to go there in the low-season! Otherwise, you have to expect lots of people!
