I like Revolution during the daytime. When it's sunny you can sit on the tables outside . While having your coffee you can chat with the habituals there (do these people work?). They also serve beers, wine and food, so it's a place where you can expend a whole day :)Workers are most of the time friendly and the make you feel the warmth of the neighborhood. A couple of times I forgot my wallet at the office and they let me get back later to pay them.Coffee is ok for its price : $3 for a large latte. Crowd at night is not my favorite. Although there is life music from time to time the place is too packed to enjoy it.

**Update 11/07/08** Okay, I went for the chicken caesar again today and it was pretty much the tastiest salad I've had in a long time...not dry at all. Consistency is not their forte, but that adds to the charm for me :)**Update 10/21/08** Despite automatt's better judgement ;) I ate food here today. I loved sitting outside in the sun, and the Caesar Salad was actually pretty good. The chicken that I added on for $2 was very dry, however. It was as if they cooked it ahead....and then microwaved it maybe 5 or 6 times at random over the course of the day before serving it cold to me...hehe, so don't bother with the chicken if you're in a salad mood. I still loooove their mochas so I'm not deducting a star on account of the chicken. I've also heard from shaggyb that the sandwiches are delish (my word, not his). ** Original Review 10/15/08** Revolution makes my favorite mocha in the city, so far. I haven't tried the food, but it looks relatively good. This place is a nice place to hang out in the mission. It's low-key, there's free wifi, and great people watching.

More of a bar than a coffee shop or restaurant, Revolution Cafe offers some decent beers and light fare like sandwiches, salads, and coffee. Gets crowded after about 3PM. I'd like the place a bit more if they ever decided to tidy up. Apparently the revolution will not be sanitized.

More of a coffee shop than a restaurant, the Revolution Cafe is a nice spot to sit outside on the sidewalk on a sunny afternoon and drink Hoegarden on tap. I was there this afternoon and they hand a band in there (which is unusual), and a nice crowd. In terms of food, they have sandwiches, salads, and other light stuff. The coffee and food isn't bad, but the real reason to go here is to sit outside in the sun and drink beer. Free wifi, happy hour starts at 3PM.
