"Ninety Years Without Slumbering" 2

Ed Wynn was such a gifted actor. (as well as his son Kennan). He could act extremely well while making it seem he was hardly trying. This story, however, is rather bad. The original version would have called for Wynn's character dying when the grandfather clock stopped, and at the same time, his granddaughter being born, thus creating a "old make room for the new" theme. That would have made for a better episode. However, the version that we saw finds the grandfather clock not having any special powers all along (despite all the tease), and we're left with Wynn coming out of his body and talking to himself as the supernatural element. Wish we could have seen the original.
