It's great! "Mission Accomplished" "The War's Over" Right?

Using a BIC shaver on my neck is better in America than with a knife in Iraq!
1JohnDoeFan 07/05/2005
I wouldn't mind living here; if not for the bombs landing next to my suite.
samjung23 02/28/2005
Might not be a good place for an American to show their face for a while...country is still trying to figure out democracy...avoid until further notice.
EschewObfuscat ion 01/16/2005
Mad American dictator, disgusting war, interested only in obtaining money? Whew. It's a list about travel destinations, not whiny, incoherent political views. It's better now than it was when it was ruled by a ruthless, murdering, Iraqi dictator, do some reasearch. Give it some thought.
WarGamefan93 09/12/2004
I wouldn't want to go. I mean.. there's like a war going on there.
jaywilton 03/11/2004
The country that's better than North Korea.
BeanoCook 02/07/2004
Great leadership! Another mideast country with democracy?
jred 08/06/2003
One of the cradles of modern man. Too bad about the last few decades though.

Gee I got shot at there so I guess I'll give this place a low rating. Well I can say we went in there didn't harm innocents and kicked some terrorist butts. Now for my next point Its a comment for Chauncy who commented ealier. Well I guess Since the US won this war everything seems to be going well. I can't beleive you honestly thought we could possibly lose? I sat on a Helo with thousand of marines just waiting and when we got the go we were a swarm of tan and green. Have a little faith in the USA. Cmon go fight the french? if we did so what the've been suppliing those terrorist for years. I know because I found new toyotas from france and mines and rifles and rockets. Yup what a great ally. And cmon if we did fight the french when was the last time they ever won a war? They are a joke. And Saddam has us in a corner? I could have sworn he was the one hiding in bunkers and caves trying to get out of Iraq? Since when has China been an ally? Just wondering. Military intel say maybe not! I think you are a retard and need to gather fact before you type idiotic messages. PS Me and a buddie tried to feed and shelter and spred love to the Iraqis. Lots of them were great and thankful but there was a few that were generous to open up on us with a grenade and small arms fire after we feed them and gave them medicine. Of course killing a young 17yr old soldier. Maybe they were just telling him "Thanks!" FU<K YOU!

You know just last week I was telling my wife. Honey I wanna go somewhere where I can be killed without any repayment for my death and if I try to eat I will probably be killed for my food. She said "Gee honey I guess Iraq is the place for you!"

These are many interesting archaeological sites throughout Iraq, however they will never be opened to scientists until the corrupt government they live under is abolished. Iraq is extremely important for the study of ancient civilizations, and it's sad that the country is so decadent when it comes to individual rights in this age.
MissPackRat4Je sus 03/23/2003
The problem with Iraq is not so much the country or its people.... it is its leader: the merciless Saddam Hussein.
anmalone 03/21/2003
Very nice. The Iraqis are so friendly and their native custom of greeting you with their native pose of hands above their heads marching toward Kuwait is really charming.
BIGBABY 02/06/2003
Believe it or not- but Iraq and Baghdad would be a place to visit if not for Saddam. Still, most people will probably always hate Americans.
mikeholly93 01/13/2003
Iraq has a great history especially ancient Sumer, Babylon, and Assyria. Saddam Hussein, however, needs to go!!!
netwiz 01/06/2003
Would probably be decent if Saddam and his Mukhabarat weren't in power. Can't wait to get rid of that scum once and for all.
abichara 10/16/2001
Iraq would actually be a very interesting place to visit only if a tyrant like Saddam Hussein would not rule this country with an iron fist; without regards to the human rights of Marsh Arabs in the south of Iraq and the Kurdish people to the north. Both of these people have been Saddam's "guinea pigs" in testing his biological and chemical weapons. Outside of this, the history of this country is fascinating. Baghdad has plenty of history; it's mosque dates back to 900 A.D. and is one of the largest and most elaborate in the Muslim world. The ancient city of Babylon's remains are in Iraq, in fact, you could, if you dare venture, see a restored version of the famous gateway into Babylon. The people are friendly and the food is great. But then again, I don't believe that no American, or in fact, any traveler from any country, should be visiting here at this time.
magellan 10/15/2001
Probably pretty low on my list of ideal destinations, primarily because it wouldn't be too wise for me to be wandering around as an American over there right now... if things ever settle down, i wouldn't mind checking it out - there's a lot of history over there, and as we are learning now - a lot about Islamic culture that the US doesn't understand. It might be cool to experience some of it for myself, as opposed to reading about in the context of bombing missions, terrorism, and starvation.
modguitar 10/15/2001
Irag is better than the USA!
ellajedlicka21 10/15/2001
Another point where I agree completely with TheFreak. I couldn't have said it any other way.
TheFreak 10/15/2001
I don't care if they hate the US. If we blow up Afghanistan and Iran and Iraq and all these ither poor countries, they won't be the only ones. I feel sorry for Iraq. They can't enjoy life because of how poor many of them are. All of you who think that the September 11 footage was horrible, I suggest you watch some footage of some starving, homeless, and extremely ill Iraqi children. It will bring you to tears. And that s.o.b. Saddam Hussein is not making things any better for them. I want every single one of you to stop for a moment and think about all the good things you have that you take for granted. You think getting dumped by your boyfriend is worth killing yourself over? Well, these poor Iraqi people have stood up to Saddam and his rich comrades, however few there may be, lived life filled with poverty and sickness, and lost so many family members and friends, and have stood through it all. My point? Iraqi people are strong. And that is part of the reason that they still exist. Lyric(s) of the Day: It's these little things, they can pull you under, live your life filled with joy and wonder, I always knew this altogether thunder was lost in our little lives. Get the point? The scenery there is not al that great, but it's polluted from head to toe with their precious oil and I think i have given the other reasons. As well as the fact that Saddam Hussein doesn't give a sh*t what the country looks like as long as he has his money and oil. We ought to help this poor country. They have AIDS, starvation, homeless people, murder, crime, just like we do, only about ten times worse. Please think about what I have said, and take care, everyone!

Got shot at here on a daily basis. I think this means an automatic "One-Star" rating.

I'll never go back - the room service was simply appalling...

Great place to visit if you are flying an F-15 Strike Eagle with a full bomb load.
