Just because a hand looks clean doesn't mean it is.

Maybe the heart was in the right place, but the hand sure wasn't.

I won't shake the hand of anyone I suspect of having a gross germy hand. Sorry if they are offended but too bad.

I once shook a man's hand at a bus stop years ago and as soon as I pulled my hand away I saw all these open sores. I was never so disgusted in all my life. I got on the bus and rode the whole way with my hand away from my body. I was sure I could feel every germ and bacteria moving around and multiplying. As soon as I got home I scrubbed my hand several times with alcohol and hot water and soap. Now in certain situations I look first.
