 | LadyJesusFan777 (34) 06/22/2007 | This is alright, but you really have to get to know someone, as there are some people who just aren't huggers.

 | LastMessenger3 (40) 06/30/2006 | Perhaps, the most nicest and closest way to greet person. Hug can be from light breezy hug to hard embrace, all depends on the relationship with another person.I think I personaly would prefer this way of greeting another person, this way he or she will feel welcomed, accepted, and liked.

 | forgotten hero (13) 01/03/2006 | But only if I know the person. Otherwise it may result in an awkward moment or a sexual harassment suit. Either one sucks if you ask me.

 | Donovan (129) 05/02/2005 | I used to abhor it when I was a child and certain relatives would come up to me when I hadn't seen them for a while and want to smother me with a bear hug. As I have gotten older I realize it is not such a bad thing and I welcome hugs if they are done in sincerity.

 | OrangeCharlie (5) 04/29/2005 | I'm only a hug person with close friends and family. Generally, I will shake hands with my male friends/relatives and hug the females.

 | Randyman (103) 04/29/2005 | I come from a long line of huggers. This is how I was raised and within my family and circle of friends we do alot of hugging. Most men I know don't have a problem with a hug but it's not for everybody.

 | kamylienne (77) 04/29/2005 | I do this fairly often; should only be reserved for those who you're familiar with (and like, of course).

 | helmut (16) 04/29/2005 | There is nothing wrong with a hug used as a greeting, especially if it's a close relative or somebody you haven't seen in a while. I find the more masculine forms of this (like the jock shoulder tap) are just guys trying to get around hugging each other. I think it shows insecurity, but that's just me.
