Yuck. 2 years after they won the World Series, they've returned to their usual habit of suckitude.

They could do a lot better... their pitchers suck, right now I think Vazquez is the only one who is actually doing something......

Of the two Chicago teams, the White Sox are... probably... the better of the two. Proving themselves mainly from 2005's grand perfomance, they finally proclaimed victory since 1917. Yet, what happened to their team? After winning so greatly, they didn't even come close to matching that for 2006. Just like the Angels.

Finally!! Some respect for the White Sox!! Although I live in South Carolina, I still hear local sports radio personalities talking about how well the White Sox played with the perfect "TEAM" method and how their teamwork, sans one or two megastars, has set the benchmark for how the other MLB teams should consider their own team makeup and chemistry. Very interesting. You know they've made a serious impact in sports when the smallest Southern state is talking about a Chicago team. Go Go Sox!!

Glad they won this year. A powerful club in the early days of the A.L. Technically the oldest club in that circuit. Fell on hard times after throwing the 1919 season, and with the exception of the '59 season, the '83 season, and a few years in the 90's, they were often either mediocre or bad, with not a hell of a lot of big names most of the time, and always overshadowed not only in the city, but with the public in general by the Cubs until this year.

I'll be rooting for the Pale Hose and Houston to make it to the Series. Why the ChiSox have not been to the Series since I was born. Had the Black Sox known it would take this long to win one, maybe they wouldn't have thrown the 1919 World Series. Do you think Cubs' fans know where Comiskey Park is? [I'll give you a hint, just sing the first line to "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown"]

The sox had a great first half but they lost momentum down the stretch. But if their pitching holds up, they can beat the red sox. They just have to get to the red sox bullpen. They have a el duque who is always awesome in the post season and he will be huge for the white sox.

They have the best ERA in the AL, 2nd in Baseball! Buehrle is proven and should be 8-1 (7-1 instead), he's right at a 3.00 ERA after giving up 1 run in 9 innings. Marte and Garland are stepping up. Pretty good hitting team too, they are 1 of 8 teams in MLB with over 50 jacks. Look for these guys in October.

They finally did something right this offseason. They don't need to be a power-hitting lineup. Sure they've got pop in The Big Hurt and Paul Konerko. But speed and defense will help them win games this year. Their pitching's OK with Mark Buehrle, Freddy Garcia and Shingo Takatsu. They just need consistency.

I think this is the best team weve had in years, without a doubt well be in October. And expirence the Cubs crash and burn in hell. What's the difference between bigfoot and a smart cub's fan? BIGFOOTS BEEN SIGHTED BEFORE

This is a vote of the heart. I began cheering for the Pale Hose in 1957, when believe it not Chicago was a Sox town. Many a night I snuck my transistor radio under my pillow and listened to Bob Elson and Don Wells call the games on the radio while I drifted off to sleep. I remember running home from school to catch what was left of the first game of the 1959 World Series. Final score White Sox 11 Dodgers 0. Alas, it was all downhill from there. The White Sox and their fans are the true red haired step children of sports. The Boston Red Sox finally had their day in the sun. When the White Sox end their long title drought, the celebration may not be the biggest, but I can assure you it will be the most intense in the history of American professional sports. Until then like the songs says, root for the White Sox and whoever plays the Cubs!

Raised a White Sox fan and will always be a White Sox fan. That's just the way it is. I remember in my youth (some years back), the Cubs were always at or near last place, the Sox were the only competitive team. The Cubs upper deck was never opened, and you could just about sit anywhere in the lower deck. Right now this is the Cubs era in terms of popularity, one day the pendulum will swing back to the Sox. That how things go. Go you White Sox! Oh, by the way, here's MY lifetime most memorable Sox by position: 1B Dick Allen, 2B Nellie Fox, SS Luis Aparicio, 3B Pete Ward, RF Magglio Ordonez, CF Ken Berry, LF Minnie Minoso, C Carleton Fisk, SP Gary Peters, RP Hoyt Wilhelm, MGR Al Lopez, and the greatest pitching coach ever Ray Berres.

The Chisox are the best team in the history of the world. They have been lying low for the past 85 years, but the day will come when they will win so many consecutive World Series' that they won't be allowed to compete anymore. Also, even though it happened a long long time ago, the Black Sox scandal was a total setup. The players had no choice but to jump at chance to make more money than that cheap bastard Comiskey would ever pay them. Also, Shoeless Joe was an illiterate hick who just happened to be an incredibly talented hitter. Their day will come, people. They are the most kickass team and will one day dominate everyone.

I love the White Sox, but it's risky to make an emotional investment in this team. Red Sox and Cubs fans like to whine about their long championship droughts but at least they have beautiful stadiums that people want to go to. Instead our owner decided to replace a historic neighborhood stadium with a bland suburban ballpark and it's been all downhill since. How many generations of Sox fans will live their entire lives without experiencing a World Series victory?

This team is still in the rebuilding stage, but shouldn't disappoint its fans that much in 2003. They have a few good pitchers and some offense, which should be enough to make one competitive in the talent-bereft American League. If all goes well, Chisox will play .500 ball, which is an improvement over recent seasons and encouraging for the 2004 campaign.

I also used to pick up radio broadcasts of the White Sox on my transistor radio in upstate NY when i was a kid. I remember when Harry Carey was announcing for the White Sox. Around that time, Chet Lemon was my favorite ballplayer. He gave solid numbers and solid defense. Now, we have a bright future with young starts coupled with older veterans such as Frank Thomas and Bartolo Colon. I expect to win our division this year and to go to the World Series, where we havent been in 5 decades. GO SOX!!

one of my fav baseball teams! I've just always loved them! i really like their stadium, too! i recommend to go there. i've probably been to 10 or more baseball stadiums and i only have a few favs and (for some reason!) this is one of my favorites. it might just be a few certain memories i have there, but i definetly also like being in illinois!

When I was around 15 or 16, I used to be able to pick up the White Sox games at night on my transistor radio. There was a fantastic announcer named Red Rush who used to call the games with a guy named Bob (I forget his last name). Rush had an infectious enthusiasm, and made the games so interesting, even when the Sox were behind, that it made me a White Sox fan. They're not my very favorite, but they're near the top. I also had the privilege of attending a game once not long before the old Comiskey Park was torn down and replaced.
