Taxco is a town located in the Mexican state of Guerrero. Founded in 1529 as a silver mining community, Taxco has become a famous silver mining region in southern Mexico. The town of Texco is defined as a Spanish colonial town, noted for its steep cobbled streets, overhanging balconies, red-rile roofs, and glazed pastel or white adobe walls.
