 | twansalem (41) 09/24/2007 | I'm not really a fan of big wooden spoons. I'd rather use a large metal spoon for most things. While I suppose they can damage non-stick cookware (which I don't have), metal spoons have the advantage of having a thin edge, so you can chop at stuff as well as stir. For example, I find it extremely difficult to brown hamburger with a wooden spoon, it's just missing the functionality of a metal spoon.
