I kind of liked this when I first saw it, but it doesn't stand up to repeated viewings.

The shallowness of the project becomes apparent pretty quickly.

I heard good things about Sin City, but was slightly disappointed in the movie. I am not a huge fan of comic books, but I enjoyed how the narration and filming helped keep the feel of a comic. The different storylines were interesting, but a little too bizarre for me to really appreciate them. I think this would be a great movie for people who are into comics or fantasy, but I would not reccomend this to everybody. I gave this 3 stars, but would choose 3.5 if I could.

When I watched the movie I was amazed. Then, when I was able to get my hands on a Frank Miller comic, I was even more amazed to see how the movie brought these characters, and the atmosphere itself, to life. Very well done is the direction role, and very well cast and acted. Definitely one of the best movies of 2005, and one of the better movies I have seen in a while.
