07/16/2008 | Although I used to love these smokes and their unique taste, I recently bought a pack and found myself completely disgusted by them. I took a couple drags and for some reason found myself gagging with every hit. After giving out many and smoking less than three, I elected to give them to a buddy.
Camel Filters are my current choice now.

03/06/2008 | Golds are my favorite of Camel's Turkish blends. The flavor has woody, nutty tones to it, and manages to be both mellow and distinctive. That said, the original Turkish Golds were better, with a somewhat richer flavor. When they changed the pack style a few years back (and introduced the silvers), they also changed the taste a bit. I would have given the old Golds a 5-star rating. These are still very good though, and I smoke them a lot.

12/31/2007 | I tried these as a change of pace from 27s and I have to say I really liked them. Not as strong as 27s but much more flavorful, rich and mellow. If you like 27s your going to love these.

09/15/2007 | Not quite as good as the Royals, it's more flavorful than Royals but with less of the buzz. The taste it leaves in your mouth isn't bad either, I actually DONT SPIT when I smoke these, which is very suprising.

08/19/2007 | If you're just starting smoking, these are the ones to go for. Now, its like inhaling air but they do have a great flavor to them and if you aren't used to the nicotine yet, these are for you.

02/22/2007 | My favorite smoke. Old style was perfect and would have a five star rating. When they changed the filters and blends the flavor got weaker, so I can't rate them as highly. But still a really good standard cigarette, mix it every now and again with the Royals or those new No. 9s for flavor and it's great.

02/15/2007 | Kind of A pain for me to find. I went to a CVS and a convenience store before finding them at a Citgo (2 for 1, SCORE). Really light though, easy to smoke, but not a bad taste and tolerable aftertaste. Not everyplace that has Camels carries these, but I admit they are an easier find than the T Jades (went to 5 places for that one), which I prefer.

02/06/2007 | The second cig I ever smoked. The first was a Turkish Jade. Stay away from those. Golds are nice and smooth and it tastes really good to drink a mountain dew or eat something sugary after smoking a couple.

03/02/2006 | Quite a good smoke. I'm not a horribly heavy smoker unless in social situations, but I find that a pack of these smoked socially before a play can give quite the buzz. Not the best buzz by any means, but a good one all the same. The taste is smooth, though I prefer the taste of Turkish Silvers. The aftertaste is far better than many other lighter types of cigarettes. I remain loyal to my Turkish Silvers, because those are the ones I started smoking in college. Turkish Golds, though, are a bit stronger. Not bad. Not bad at all.

01/20/2006 | Yesss, I love these. I used to smoke Turkish Silvers but they were a little bit too light for me. I switched to the golds and will probably smoke these forever. The "buzz" isnt the strongest out there, but I simply cannot resist the flavor of these! Soo sweet, smooth and delicious.

12/13/2005 | i smoke marlboro 27s...i tried these and i liked them, a smooth smoke and pleasant aftertaste. but the smoke is pretty weak, i dont get a ton of enjoyment out of it. the silvers and royals have more of a sweet flavor to me

12/02/2005 | I love the camel turkish series. They have the special turkish aftertaste that leaves a nice satisfying taste in your mouth. The only thing i could argue about in these cigarettes is that they seem to be very light. Turkish Royals seem to have the same taste as the turkish golds, but they are a little heavier. I think turkish silvers are ultra light, turkish golds are lights, and turkish royals are full flavor. if your a light smoker, these are the cigarettes for you.

11/29/2005 | This babies are like butter! Super smoth and easy to enjoy. Personlly i am a camel fan. Marlboro's just didn't cut it for me. I don't smoke that much so when i do i like it to be something i can relax and mellow out to, and these are perfect. I plan to keep bying these for a long time!

These smokes never made me hack up my lungs, or any of the other nasty stuff that i saw smokers do on other brands that had smoked less time than me. But the original turkish golds were far superior to the new flavored cheap tasting turkish golds. For those wanting to quite, buy a can of kodiak wintergreen and throw a hog in whenever you have a craving. It breaks the smoke habit while still giving you the nicotine, then just ease off the kodiak till its gone. Piece of cake!

10/06/2005 | I had a Turkish Gold phase. But after smoking a pack of Cremas too fast, I no longer had a taste for Turkish Gold. Smooth and easy to smoke, but the aftertaste is a bit too sweet. They're a bit weak too.

08/25/2005 | I love the taste of Turkish Golds. They were my first cigarette. Only problem is whenever I smoke a Camel now it gives me a pain in my lungs so I did something I never though I'd do and I switched to Marlboro 72's. I know it wasn't a good choice and it was hard too, but what's a smoker to do when his favorite smoke hurts his lungs to the point he has to change brands. The fact that I'm smoking Marlboro's makes me want to quit.

05/10/2005 | First off, as a smoker of Camel Filters, Turkish Royal, and Izmir Stingers, I have to say that Camel Turkish Gold is a light cigarette, not full flavor. If you don't believe me, go to the website and look at the mg of tar and nicotine. And, also Turkish Silver is an ultralight. Compared to Filters and Turkish Royal, Gold doesn't stand up. Subpar and inadequate. Now, I give it three stars because pretty much anything Camel puts out is better than it's rivals. If you're going to smoke a light, I think you could do much worse than a Turkish Gold. However, if you want full flavor, look elsewhere.

05/08/2005 | Smooth, full flavor. Less harsh than many other cigarettes. Very mellow and easy on the throat. I highly recommend these to anyone whther you are just starting to smoke, wnating to try something new, or jsut looking for something good to smoke. Theses were the second cigarettes I ever tried and I still try new ones but I always come back to these. Delicious.
