Played twice in the 1970s, the mid-season game featured all-star teams from both leagues. Won both times by the NBA in tightly contested and exciting games. Notable for being the first National TV appearance of Dr. J. (Add picture)

Yes it really did happen and it was televised on national TV in 1972 and 1973. Well-played games with both scoring, defense and drama. I wanted the renegade excitement ABA so bad to beat the staid, dullish NBA, but the NBA nipped them twice.
