How do you do? One of my fave Disney characters!

Smart, cool, and pretty politically incorrect by today's standards. Well written, and worth seeking out.

The first and original fictional rabbit. Created by Joel Chandler Harris sometime in the late 19th century, as part of the Uncle Remus story characters. They were a cast of animals that acted human. These stories were unique to the south and most of the characters represented blacks, both free and slaves. It evolved into southern folklore in time. Maybe because of the stereotype, but you really don't hear to much about Uncle Remus or Brer Rabbit anymore.
