Here Comes Mr. Jordan 1941 4

This was a pretty good movie starring Robert Montgomery (The father of Elizabeth Montgomery of "Bewitched") as Joe Pendleton, a boxer that is killed before his time, literally, since an angel took him just prior to an airplane crash. A crash he would have survived. The movie is a combination of comedy, drama, love story and fantasy, and centers on two angel's (Claude Rains and Edward Everett Horton) attempts to find Joe a new body, since his own body was creamated. The late great James Gleason plays Joe's trainer Max Corkle. The movie was remade in 1978 as "Heaven Can Wait" with Warren Beatty as Joe, a Los Angeles Rams Quarterback and Jack Warden as Max, his best friend and trainer.
