 | randomoscity (3) 05/23/2005 | Okay, betty darling, I have something to say here. I am American and attend an American high school. I think that I am a little more qualified to make this judgement than you. It's not as you seem to think. Not all you see on TV is true. Check your facts or don't pretend to know them.

 | bluetarbaby (8) 05/20/2005 | Her point is, Randyman, there is a seperation between church and state.....
.....or at least, there is supposed to be. That's bad enough, but what's worse is, BUSH DOESN'T GIVE ONE F&CK ABOUT GOD. Pulling strings, baby, pulling strings. Open your minds. Actually, I didn't know this was going on, but if it is, I'm not surprised. It won't be long before we're all quakers! If anybody does notice this going on, it should be reported, because it is ILLEGAL! The ironic thing is, if there is a hell, George Bush is going faster than all of us. I sware to God, if I hear about something like this going on in my kid's classroom.............I will wait for that teacher after school and stomp his face in! I sware to GOD! He might get a second to explain himself, but I'd be very pissed none the less! Actually, I might just call the cops..................if it's a public school. I don't want my kid hearing that crap. Not so much I don't want my kid to believe in God as much as I refuse to let her believe Bush is not evil. In other words, the violation of the seperation of church and state is angering enough, but PLEASE don't tell my kid who to vote for. Does this really go on? Geez, sounds like I need to write some letters and pay some visits. I get infuriated at the very notion of this going on. I get infuriated just imagining that it MIGHT go on. STAY THE F%CK AWAY FROM MY CHILD AND BRAINWASH YOUR OWN! If you're a christian, fine! My kid has nothing to do with YOU or your IDIOTIC beliefs! Save it for Sunday, Gomers.

 | CastleBee (85) 05/19/2005 | This one is oddly worded, but Ill try to wade through. As a couple of other people have already pointed out; God isnt even allowed in our public schools any longer so the world can relax; we are well on our way to becoming as Godless as the rest of the western hemisphere. I dont know what the president has to do with all that but gosh, he seems to be the cause of all the problems in the universe so hey whatever. You know, next time I really hope that we elect a bi-sexual, atheist, former male stripper and crack addict. Maybe then the people who have been obsessing over the evils of someone trying to actually live their faith will be satisfied and quit dumping on Christianity for awhile.

 | abichara (63) 05/19/2005 | I thought Bush was known in education circles for passing his classes with 'gentlemen's C's'. I just have one question for you; is our children learning?

 | Mr.Political (20) 05/18/2005 | This assumption is based on what exactly? Yes, it's true that President Bush is a born-again Christian who has very strong moral convictions but for this sentiment to be true we would have to assume that all followers of every faith represent their religious leader. Clearly that is a sophomoric view but then again, so is this list.

 | earthbound (40) 05/18/2005 | Yes, and I am of two minds about the mandatory rifle practise classes for first-graders . I think they should wait until they can read the gun safety instructions.

 | CanadaSucks (50) 05/18/2005 | No. President Bush is associated with staring off into space while sitting in a school for too long a time while we were under attack. While he was sh#tting his pants, I'm sure that's when he invoked God in school for the first time. . .

 | cutegurl (16) 05/18/2005 | No, I am afraid you don't know what you are talking about. We can't even mention God in schools and there is even talk about not letting us say the Pledge of Allegiance because it says God in it. President Bush has never really assoicated himself with God in schools and so what if he has. I thought this list was about American culture, how is this American culture.

 | jamestkirk (24) 05/18/2005 | That's not true at all. Being British, you are displaying how little you know about this aspect of our society. I'm an educator. We can longer refer to God in public schools. Pres. Bush is a Christian and respected by many for his values, but he is not projected by the schools as a deity.

 | helmut (16) 05/18/2005 | The fact that this item was put on this list shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the arguments that surround having God in the schools. In two days it will have been one year since I graduated high school in a very conservative town in a very conservative state. Not once in my schooling did I ever hear Bushs let alone any politicians name or any political movement associated with God. I was never coerced or forced to pray by any teacher or school employee. In fact, it was never even suggested. In history class, I learned the tenants of many other faiths: Islam, Hindu, Buddhism, Shintoism, Taoism, etc. But we barely touched on Christianity except for the history stuff like the Crusades and the Protestant Reformation. To say that God is intentionally mentioned in schools would be stretching the truth. To say that President Bush is often associated with God in schools would be a gross subterfuge. Theyre so afraid of lawsuits that they avoid anything that resembles God in the schools.

 | Jed1000 (74) 05/18/2005 | You obviously haven't visited many of our schools. Even God isn't associated with God in our schools.
