washer and dryer combination appliance

washes and dries in the same unit. Seems to make life a bit easier, but I am not sure how it works. If anyone has experience with these, I am considering buying one.Thanks.

I hate any combinations for the simple reason that one will die and then what? You have a half worthless item.

Being totally ignorant of any appliance but the fridge and stove, I'm not sure what this means. If you mean the type that have a washer and dryer as one unit, well we don't have that, if you mean a set of washer and dryer but two seperate units, then that we have. We just bought a washer and dryer from Sears last year. I haven't heard any complaints, so I guess everything works the way my wife wants.
