A good, quality return to the greatness of the past. Though still not nearly as good as his earlier performances, Lucas puts together a quality culmination of his career. A much improved version over the I and II Episodes, I wasnt expecting that great an ending, and got more then I expected. Although I agree it seemed a little forced, it was still a good ending to a double trilogy that could have been so much better.

Answered all of the questions to tie Episodes II and IV together and complete the saga.

A satisfying conclusion. The final duel between master and apprentice was very epic, although why Obi-Wan didn't take the extra 30 seconds to walk over and finish Anikin off was a little implausible. The way they worked the story arc to conclude in the middle as opposed to a conventional beginning to end was very interesting. It makes watching the very first installment, produced all those years ago, seem fresh. They did kind of ham handedly cram the last 15 minutes of the film with too many details in a desperate attempt to tie up the loose ends. It could have been done a little more subtly. When Jimmy Smits character says "My wife and I have always talked about adopting a baby girl", I thought, Oh Puh-leez, how convenient. The bit about sending Obi-Wan to practice communication with the late Qwai-Gon was kind of trite too. Anikin's transition to Darth Vader was good story telling, if broadly told and poorly acted. One must remember though that the films are trying to appeal to a wide age range and sometimes ere on the side of being easy for 8 year olds to understand. I never really cared much for the films when I was younger, but have really enjoyed getting into the saga with my kids.

One of the best movies since LOTR in my opinion.

Best Star Wars film since the originals. Better story and acting.

Not as good as the original trilogy but definitely better than the last two offerings.
