Two recent articles popped up on the same subject and need to be brought to the attention of the learned body of the RIA. The April 28, 2007, edition of the New York Times, has a article how the Anglican Archbishop of Nigeria, Peter J. Akinola, is coming to Virginia to install a bishop to lead congregations that want to break from the Episcopal Church of the USA. Archbishop Akinola is a fierce critic of the American Episcopal Church for its acceptance of homosexuality. The breakaway churches are in the same boat. Then in the May, 2007, edition of the American Spectator is an article "Episcopalian Recovery," by Jonathon Aitken to the point of the growth of this American Anglican Church. Aiken makes the point that the Episcopal Church has sunk from five million to under two million members in the last decade. Aiken notes that Episcopalians are more interested in ordaining homosexual bishops and promoting same sex marriage than Christ's Great Commission found in Mathew 28:19: "Go forth and make disciples of all nations."
