UPDATE: After 80 years of separation, on May 17, 2007, the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia reunited with the Russian Orthodox Church under the Patriarch of Moscow.

After the fall of Communism and the rooting out of the Commie fellow travelers in the Russian Church, talks began in 2005 about reunion.


ORIGINAL COMMENT: When the Bolsheviks took over Russia, this group broke away from Moscow jurisdiction because of Communist domination.
