Here we have one of the old mainline Protestant churches so important to the history of the USA.  Methodism is in a decline as the older people die off and the younger generation subscribes to the "I don't need a church to be spirtual" creed or doesn't have any creed at all.

The Methodist Church has absorbed some smaller groups hence the word "United."
