Eating out is a ritual for me. I prefer small restaurants with unique menus: I've tried restaurants from Thai to Italian, to Ethiopian to Peruvian and Indian. The small joints give you a chance to try home-cooked style food from the country. Fancier places serving similiar food at times are good too, but many times, these are professional chefs who like to infuse their dishes with other influences. There's nothing wrong with that, but sometimes I feel like the plate I have in front of me is a work of art and not a meal! Perhaps its just that I like hearty home-cooked food. Selecting from a wider menu without having to do all the work of cooking is extremely appealing to me. Indeed, for me and most of us, going out to eat has become a social experience. If I tell my family that I'm going out, it usually means that I'm going out to eat. When I go out on a date, usually its dinner and a movie. And this is a good option especially when you have a wide range of places to choose from. However I try not to go too exotic on the first date! Usually a good steak house works well in that case.

Towards the weekend - almost always. I look forward to eat Thai or Indian or Arabic. Also love Italian and Greek.

I love eating out! Thats why I spend to much money!! It's sad when most of your money is being spent on food.

That's horrible, Goneaway; now where will you go to eat?..... As far as eating out daily, since I'm at home now, I don't, and I also manage to send my husband off with a decent lunch every day so even he doesn't have to go out for lunch.

I love eating out, but it is expensive and generally speaking not healthy. I do eat out a few times a month, but not everyday.

I enjoy eating out at a good restaurant, always have, it gives my wife a break and it's good for change of pace. It's not an everyday thing, but at least three times a month we eat out at a good restaurant.

With my dad we usually eat out, though you have to pay for it, i'd take it over food at home.

Currently working at a restaurant, I eat away from home a lot. Its not really eating out, but I have not done a lot of my own cooking lately, which is something I miss.

::sigh:: I USED to . . . but now we're saving money for the big move. I miss it, but it's amazing how much money we save by eating in instead. It'll be worth it, though; I just got back from Gainesville to scout out the place, and I think I'm going to really like it there.

I wish I brought my lunch to work more often but unfortuately I normally buy lunch everyday. The fiancee is pretty good with dinner though, and is suprisingly quite the cook.
