I dunno, but he apparently knew when a party needed a boost, and like any good guest, provided some wine...

If he was a real flesh and blood man,I'm sure he did.

Did Jesus take a crap?  Did he ever pick his nose?  Did he ever whack it?  When he cut one, did it smell bad?  These are topics never visited by the nuns back when I was compelled to endure that exercise in mindlessness called catechism.  Did Jesus get a boner?  Did Jesus belch after he ate whitefish?  Did he scratch his butt?  These are very crucial liturgical issues totally overlooked in scriptural consideration.

Jesus had all the desires and emotions of other humans. Remember the shortest verse in the Bible: "Jesus wept". Remember Jesus' anger as he overturned the moneychangers' tables in the Temple. Remember Jesus' generosity at Cana , and when he provided bread for the multitudes.  But Jesus was able to control his emotions. I see him as a fully-integrated human being.

Jesus, while on Earth, did have desires and emotions ~ otherwise, Satan would not have tried to tempt him in the desert.  He loved, He cried and He felt. He had compassion ~ a human trait. NOW, obviously not.

Jesus HAD desires and emotion while he had a human body and lived among us. He is now sitting at the right hand of the father, interceding for us. Applying human attributes to Jesus Christ is a mistake, since He is no longer human. He is God.

My vision of Jesus isn't as a robot. I definitely believe his emotions and desires were the same as ours. His ability to control his emotions and act out of love and not his own personal desire is what makes him the leader that so many people desire to follow.

Yes and no. He has our basic desires because of the fact that God made us in His image and likeness, that must mean that God must have similar emotions and thoughts to us. We were all made to imitate our Creator. That must mean that the Creator must laugh, have a sense of humour, hates boredom, loves fun, cries, feels hurt, wants to be loved, feels love and compassion, is capable of being angry, even violent (because the Lord has a fierce anger), has a jealous love (wants to be first place in our lives), feels joyed, has an imagination and plans etc. He would (especially Jesus since He was in a human body) definitely have similar emotions to us humans. The major difference between God and us is He has no sin, is pure, in perfect control of His emotions, all His emotions are the right ones at the right time, inclined to the positive and is all love. Plus He has no weakness or vulnerability like we do. But with Jesus, He would of had our basic desires (felt rejected, sad, wanted to be loved, felt angry when someone betrayed Him, felt frustrated and angry when people didn't believe Him). He also faced temptations and even felt fear (before His death), and even felt at one point that God left Him. Although Jesus can certainly identify with us, He is also in control of His emotions and is not capable of being tempted into evil and had no hostile emotions. Jesus was the only one who could truly please the Father without fault.

Jesus was the most human of all men, and that, is what I think he was trying to show us how to become, the most human.

Whenever Im having a particularly hard time - emotionally or physically - I take comfort in knowing that the God who created me knows exactly what Im going through. Having lived in human form at a particularly nasty period in history I dont suppose there was any hardship he did not experience in one form or another. He suffered the loss of loved ones, he knew loneliness, heartache and he most definitely knew pain. He can do more than forgive the people who cause the atrocities of the world he can relate to the people who are victimized by them. The state of the world has nothing to do with the one who came to offer hope to it and everything to do with mans free will run amuck. Yet, he continues to be crucified for it over and over again.

No. If He did, we wouldn't be living in this mudball planet called Earth. Living on Earth is full of hell and He seems to be callous about it and He doesn't want to do anything about it. Of all the human suffering today, He doesn't seem interested in helping anyone.

I believe Jesus walked the earth as a man. And I believe he had every strength and weakness I do.
