 | Nicheometer (3) 12/07/2006 | He said the we can not know the hour or day but we can know the season.that is right.God wante us to have some way of knowing when the time was getting near.that's why the parable of the fig tree is in there.

He does say, elsewhere, it isn't for us to know the day or hour but it IS for us to know the times and seasons. He tells us to learn the parable of the fig tree!

 | MariusQelDroma (35) 01/02/2006 | If you properly read the verse it says "But of that day and hour, no man knoweth, not the angels of heaven, not even the Son, but only the Father." That sounds fairly clear to me that while in the flesh as Jesus, He did not have perfect vision of past, present, and future. He instead had the vision of man, enough to see the here and now.

 | Gentle Jude (23) 07/02/2005 | In the New International version of the Bible, it says the answer very clearly. Here is what it says, 'No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.' Although there is a footnote in my Bible which says 'some manuscripts don't have nor the Son.' Judging my the reading of that, Jesus doesn't know when the Father has planned for Him and His second coming. That is an amazing thought, that not even Jesus, being fully God and the creator and ruler of the universe really knows when that day will be. Only the Father does.
