My problem with this listing is that there is nothing 'passive' about manipulation. . .when faced with this, I would usually tell my soon-to-be-ex-one-night-stand that if you want something from me, you should ask instead of flanking me. . ."Hey, where are you going? Can I call you?"

I know one particular person that this fits perfectly....and she does get on my nerves. As a mutual party once said about her..."she would argue with a fence post to prove she is right". She likes to come across so sweet, but her intentions...well, Ill stop there.

I think this goes on quite a bit and often on a subconcious level. People usually want their own way and think it's for the best. So, we are constantly pushing for it whether we realize it or not. That's one thing but I also think there are people who set out to do this and think they're pretty slick customers. They usually become obvious after so long. You may gain somewhat in the short term but it can take its toll in other ways. Once I recognize this trait in someone I never feel quite the same about them again.
