 | lmorovan (19) 04/01/2008 | Most Christian denominations agree on the very basic theological issues, among which, being a follower of Jesus Christ, accepting Him as Savior on the merit of His sacrifice on the cross and obedience of His commandments.

 | MissPackRat4Jesus (42) 02/12/2008 | I'm Pentecostal, but I am nowhere near the stereotype (snake-handlers, poison-drinkers, etc.) many often place on those with my beliefs (although there is an exclusive group within the realm of Pentecostalism that indeed do those things). In fact, I lean on the quieter side. I'm simply open to the fact that every Spiritual gift mentioned in the Bible is for this day in age, and not just for the first couple of centuries, and Pentecostals as a whole stand on this. I do understand many have misused these gifts, and this sometimes contributes to the rotten label we Pentecostals sometimes get.
Every denomination within Christianity promote what matters most: they worship Jesus Christ and trust in Him as their personal Lord and Savior. Some are more enthusiastic worhipers, while others are a little more quiet. It's pleasing to God, all the same.

 | numbah16tdhaha (162) 02/01/2007 | A bit crazy, but why not? If you believe I do suppose it makes you Christian...

 | Djahuti (57) 11/19/2006 | There's a very WIDE variety of Christians.Anyone who accepts Christ as their savior is a Christisn by definition, whether or not people who believe otherwise think so.I find it quite ludicrous that so many so-called Christians feel that they are fit to judge the merits of other peoples churches and sects.

 | trebon1038 (66) 11/07/2006 | Are they christians...yes, are some of them a little over the edge? Yes. I know quite a few that are not fanatical though and they have an enthusiasm I think we all can learn from.

 | SharonParry (46) 11/06/2006 | Controversial and touchy subject. The fact is, when God calls His own, He calls them from every walk of life, every denomination, every race, creed, and nationality. Every denomination has some Christians and some who pretend a lot.

 | CanadaSucks (50) 10/10/2006 | Listening to different kinds of Christians list and pontificate about whether or not other sects of Christians are Christians invokes the strange image of the blades of grass on my lawn asking if the other blades are 'actually grass'. . .

 | DarrenGJohnson (20) 04/20/2006 | Yes, I agree with Scarletfeather and most of the replies to this that they are Christians if the believe Jesus to be their savior and Lord.

 | scarletfeather (53) 12/12/2005 | Anyone who believes Jesus is the Savior and the Son of God is a Christian.

 | echoscot (10) 10/20/2005 | Of course. It is not being Pentecostal that makes one Christian. It isn't being Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Episcopalean or Lutheran. It is faith in Christ. I have been in many denominations and found real and pretend Christians in all of them. I am currently Southern Baptist. I find real and fake Christians there, too.
Once in Chicago, I was walking with some friends. A black woman was standing on the side raising money. She was from a Nazarene church. I felt compelled to walk over and give her a dollar. She suddenly clutched my hand and looked me in the eye and said, "I can tell you love Him." I nodded, knowing that I had just met a sister in the faith. We never exchanged names, but I know that in heaven we will meet again and recognize each other and rejoice in our family with Christ.

 | Solenoid DH (20) 07/02/2005 | They'd better be. Even though I am not pentecostal myself, the people who led me to the Lord were, and I'll forever be indebted to them.

 | CherrySoda99 (31) 06/20/2005 | Well, I'm pentecostal, and I'm a Christian, so I guess the answer is yes.

 | Donovan (141) 06/19/2005 | Yes, it speaks of Pentecost in the Bible. Baptists, Church of God, Christian, Faithful... it doesn't matter what you call yourself as long as you follow God's commands and worship him. I wish we all agreed on every doctrine but we don't, I'll trust the Word of God and pray for the truth. I hope you do the same.

 | Gentle Jude (25) 06/12/2005 | Of course they are, so I don't see why they shouldn't be apart from any other Christian denomination. As long as they believe salvation by grace (Jesus) alone and call on His name, then they shall be saved. I don't believe every point in their interpretation of the Bible, but as long as they believe we are saved by grace alone, then they are Christian.
