 | Gentle Jude (25) 07/03/2005 | They call themselves Christians and are a Christian denomination so as far as religion is concerned, yes. But for me personally, I believe they are real Christians and will go to Heaven to be with the Lord. They believe the same things as other Christians do except they believe we still have to observe the Sabbath, to have church on Saturday and we have to tithe and it is commanded for us to be baptized in water. They are also a bit more legalistic when it comes to observing Communion. Although these beliefs are wrong (we don't have to observe the Sabbath and we don't have to tithe), they are still saved because their primary beliefs are right (they believe in Jesus as being the only way to God, and believe we are saved by Christ alone). If we were to judge someone as being a Christian based on their secondary beliefs eg whether they observe the Sabbath or not or whether they get baptized or not, then I suppose there wouldn't be many real Christians. Because all Christians have different beliefs and different interpretations of the Bible and what a particular commandment means and how it is applied. No one has interpreted the Bible 100% correctly. So if we were to base our judgement on how someone interprets the Bible, then every Christian would face judgement. The only major thing that goes against them is the fact they include books such as the Gospel of Thomas.
