The final judgment before the Great White Throne of God.

Few truths are more often or more clearly proclaimed in Scriptures than that of the general judgment. This is the Last Judgment and probably two dozen passages in the Bible refer to ti.

General judgement can be good or bad. It depends on how you use it. I like to judge actions and behaviors, rather than people. I know what I should and should not do, but, leave it up to others to make their own choices. The way you judge others is the same way The Lord will judge you on the big day! ;)

Sounds like someone might have renamed the Great White Throne judgement that is popular theological thinking amongst more fundamentalist lines of thought. At that time, all of humanity will stand in judgement before the Throne of God, and many books, great and small, will be opened. To me, these sound like the accounts of the lives of individuals. Then the source Scripture in Revalation says that another book is opened, the Book of Life. "And whosoever does not have their name recorded in the Book of Life is cast into the lake of fire which burns forever, which is the second death." Sounds like a big list of the saved, and if your name isn't on the list, the judgement of separation from God is in order, the second death referred to in the passage. That's my take on it, and I'm sure others will think differently. The point is we need to be saved to be with God forever, and that is by faith through the grace of God, and not by any work we can do by ourselves.

There are two types of judgement-particular judgement- and -general judgement-.Particular judgement:is when you are judged privately after death but only the soul is rewarded or punished.General judgement is the second coming of Christ of whom we must give a strict account of our lives and will then be called one by one in which He will judge with great severity. The soul will be reunited with the body to stand a public trial in front of all(prophets, patriarchs, saints, martyrs, angels etc.)that the just may be glorified and the wicked justly humiliated,so to the soul suffers or ecstasized so to the body must in like manner, because it was the vessel of the soul that helped to commit the sins or acts of goodness after all is done the wicked will be cast into everlasting torments(body and soul)and the just will enjoy eternal happiness(body and soul)only then will Hell be closed off forever and sin will no longer exist and the face of the earth shall be re-newed and then we will live in the original state of grace that was destined for our first parents before their fall(this is just a brief and comprehensive insight of this doctrine). It has been the belief of some theologians that the end of the world will come when all the seats of the fallen angels are filled...opinion:I for one can only suspect it would not be more than a thousand years on the grounds of religious logic given todays moral structure absence it is pointless for Almighty God to create souls only to send them to Hell it defeats the purpose of why He created us sooner or later it must come to an end?

It is a Catholic belief that when Jesus returns to this earth, He will structure His judgments in different segments. There will be an individual judgement of each person's soul but before then, there will be a general judgement of all humanity. In this judgement, every thought, action, word will be shown to everyone in the world and judged by God. After that (I'm not sure on the exact details), Jesus will intercede for the people who are saved. It is a purely theoretical doctrine, which is strongly held by Catholics.
