Basic formulaic movie, without much going for it. The closing sequence is particularly weak.

An oft-repeated, soup-simple premise, really. Man gets a dumb idea; Man creates machine to do Man's stupidity for Man; machine learns creator is arrogant and flawed and kicks his AZZ. A reflection of the nascent fear of the unknown and a Luddite fear of technology (while watching porn on home PCs). The list of film predecessors is endless, beginning mostly with Frankenstein.

Sort of a pre-cursor to terminator, where the machine takes over the entire US nuclear arsenal. The two young stars get their big break in this one.
