I took a vacation about 10 minutes from my home this weekend by renting a room at the Hotel Nikko. There was a special on Travelzoo, and I jumped on it.First the good:- Very cool minimalist design in the rooms and lobbies- Good location, just two blocks from Union Square and Bart- Awesome, heated indoor pool / solarium where the sun shines through the glass ceiling. There is also a sun deck for the rare day it is warm enough.- Great food via room service, the bars, and the Anzu restaurant.- Nice rooms- Solid exercise room with free weights and lots of spaceThe only issue I had with the place- They nickel and dime you $10 for the exercise room- The rooms are not big - not tiny, but not bigI would definitely stay here again.
