Triton is very good. I stayed there last year. It is hip and trendy, as anyone can tell you. I do wish that the building itself were better maintained or renovated. There's a difference between staying in a beautiful old hotel and staying in a hotel that's just old. In terms of the rooms: I felt like I was in a very old room that had new weird furniture thrown in. I for one prefer to stay in a place that feels newer and immaculate -- you know?

A different type of hotel with a trendy feel. Celebrities designed certain guest rooms - Woody Allen, Jerry Garcia, Red Hot Chili Peppers, to name a few. The GM, Brian Fenwick, was a former actor and had small roles in several Disney films in the nineties.
