 | splendidfate (0) 07/05/2008 | i've got a dip of husky straight in right now. it's better than i was expecting but not "great" by any means. it mostly just has a mellow wintergreen flavor to it and is very strong (nicotine-wise). the "straight" flavor seems to differ greatly from brand to brand but if you want a good nicotine kick without the chemically taste, this is the stuff. also, at only a couple bucks a can, it's great on a budget.

 | LILWHEELY (0) 06/30/2008 | I am in a wheelchair... and i dip every day of my life. I love the stuff. I started out with a can of griz mint. i puked like a biothc the first time. However, ever since i prob go through 2 cans a day. the only thing for me is griz mint. I LOVE DIP...

 | OldDipper (0) 06/25/2008 | I started chewing Copenhagen in 1982 and have probably chewed close to 10,000 cans in my life. I can't vouch for the flavored kids stuff (it's all crap to me), but Husky Fine Cut Natural is the closest you're going to get to Cope, and at $1-$3 a can, I can't argue with it. It's all I dip now.

 | Mintydip69 (1) 03/21/2008 | Husky mint is the best mint dip I have had out of all brands. It is better and stronger than skoal mint and it only costs 99 cents most of the time!

 | Grizzlydipper (2) 01/07/2008 | I've been getting mint for 99 cents a can at a local cheap tobacco. i've never had mint as good as this, so full of favor. Also FC natural for 99 cents and let me just say this it taste very close to cope in a husky can its unbelievable. well worth it just as long as you dont get a dry can because i've had some of those and its a waste.

 | cowboy31 (0) 12/03/2007 | Hell, I was just in for a rude awakining! I chewed copenhaged for many years until by little brother got me stuck on Skoal straight (which was kind of a turmoil for me because as a die hard rodeo cowboy, copenhagen is the snuff of choice) At a time when I was in a situation that didn't allow me access to very much chew, Kodiak was all that was available and I soon got hooked on it. I am a very "branded individual" (Ford Trucks, Kodiak, Coke not pepsi, etc.. ) Its always dificult for me to change from a product I stand behind. Recently, I found myself a few days out from payday and bought some Grizzly which is my backup to Kodiak, but Husky was on sale for 99 cents. For 99 cents and after reading the label that says its made by U.S. Smokeless, I decided to try a can. Now I am faced with the delima of not ever buying Kodiak again. I'm not sure I can tell much difference. And at full price of $1.29 it's a hell of alot cheaper that Kodiak at over $6. It sounds stupid but I'm struggling with the idea of buying Husky and trying to get over the fact that the can doesn't say Kodiak. Financially, theres no debate. Qualily wise I dont think there is one either.

 | bigdipper7 (0) 10/13/2007 | Husky mint tastes damn close to skoal mint the only diff i can really tell is that the cut is a little finner with husky, but for 2 buck a tin i think i will live with it. if you have the money to buy skoal etc go for it but i think it would be stupid to pay way more for a chew that tastes identical for less than half the price.

 | timmy2004 (0) 09/16/2007 | I have tried Cope & Skoal, my buddy got me to buy a can of cope & skoal and i am like 6 bucks a can, not worth it, husky is 2.50 a can, husky has better taste, i have only had the mint, wintergreen, and stright. i felt that the mint was better than skoal mint. worth the pice

 | 1861RebelRedneck1861 (1) 06/24/2007 | Whoever thinks that Huskey tastes like Skoal or Cope is stupid. I did the same thing ya'll did and bought me a can for 1.80 when cope was over five bucks I put my usual two finger in my lip and all I could taste was the chemicals they put in that shit oh and fiberglass I didn't even taste like tobacco I will never buy a can of it again

 | CopeSNUFFrules (1) 06/16/2007 | i chew cope full time but when i only have a buck then i get husky. they taste almost the same. only thing i don't like is there's a lot of fiberglass in it but who gives a fuck.

 | xredxdoggx (1) 06/12/2007 | In search of a new chew that costs less than skoal at $7 dollars a tin, I discovered a chew named Husky. It was very comparable to Skoal which I have been chewing for five years and after further investigation I found it was made by US Smokeless tobacco, ironically the same company that makes Skoal, Rooster etc... Husky has great flavor, excellent texture and is not to rough on the lip. Its cut great and stays nice and packed in your mouth. At $8 dollars a log you can't beat that price for the quality of chew that Husky delivers. I would love to see Husky come out with a few new flavors apple, berry, cherry, etc...

 | AcFreeze (0) 05/30/2007 | I stumbled upon Husky mint when Skoal's prices started to get out of hand. I was surprised at how similar it was to Skoal and thankful for the price and taste. Then I look at the side of the can and see "US Tobacco". Well sh*t on me, it's just Skoal in another can. Needless to say, when I can buy a log of Husky for 2 bucks more than a can of Skoal, I'm sold. I highly recommend Husky if you like anything from Skoal/Copenhagen.

 | Chomper (0) 04/29/2007 | Husky FC Natural tastes identical to Cope Snuff. I could not believe it, but it's true. Not quite as strong as Cope, and the cut is more like a mid-cut, but at $1.73 a can, I'm switching.

 | Yamaharid3r125 (1) 04/20/2007 | I got a can of LC Mint today and I had never had Husky before but i got the can for free so i figured what the hell ill try it. I was actually suprised at how good it was and it packed really well also. My friend and I think it tastes pretty close to Skoal. Very good chew for the price.

 | cowboyintexas (0) 04/18/2007 | Great! 30 year user of Copenhagen, and couldn't stand the cheap crap till Husky came out. Fine cut regular is certainly $4.00 a can close to Cope in flavor. I can buy a 5 can log for the same money as 1 can of Copenhagen. It very well may be the machine sweepings canned up, but for $120.00 a month savings on snuff, I think I will stay with it. I can't speak to the mint or "special" flavored snuff. That is usually reserved for the temporary chewers anyway.

 | lowfatcracker (1) 02/15/2007 | Husky long cut straight would be a good stepping stone toworads quitting; it has very little effect and less flavor. Maybe good for beginners as well?

 | HuskyJim (0) 02/11/2007 | Honestly I am glad not many people like Husky. Just means there will be more for those of us who do enjoy it.
Big tobacco needs you guys who like to pay $4-$5 a can. This way they can dump more profit into their pockets, and sponsor more race cars and race events. Hell we all make out when you spend more than $2 for a can of dip!
So thanks!

 | herzeleid15 (1) 02/09/2007 | Personally, this stuff is horriable. It is probably swept up in the stadiums after baseball games. Husky (made by US Smokeless Tobacco, same as Skoal, Rooster, Cope, etc) is dry, and has little flavor. The only decent flavor would be Fine Cut Natural. But for 98 cents a can, thats what ya get...

 | digdipper34 (1) 02/06/2007 | This type of brand is not the best on the market. I had bought a can becuase i was short on money. It wasn't worth it bad tasting and the cut is inconsistant. The only thing good about is it is just low priced.

 | OskarSmith (0) 12/29/2006 | I was PRAYING that Husky would be ok to chew because me and my wife just had another kid and I promised to help save money. HELL NO! Husky sucks bigtime. Even poor folk gotta raise their standards. This stuff MUST be everything that doesn't make it into a can of Hawken. HOWEVER, if you MUST chew this crap, take a teaspoon of Jack Daniels and put it in the tin. Shake up and let set over night. Makes it bearable ;-)

 | goodolboy (1) 09/27/2006 | Husky is not my favorite dip but it is cheap. I can get it for $1.12 a tin and Skoal is $5.22. It is not as good as skoal or Red Seal but it is still good for the price. And yes it is made by the same company that makes skoal and cope, but that doesn't make it the same, as some other reviewers have stated. That is like saying a A Ford ranger and a F-350 is the same thing.

 | Copenhagenjunkie (0) 08/26/2006 | AS a long time(Over 20 years) copenhagen user, I decided to check out some cheaper alternatives. Most of the cheaper snuff did not come close to copenhagen, except for Husky. I like both the L/C straight and natural flavors. And as far as the price, Husky can't be beat.

I don't know if its because it doesnt sell well here or what. I definatly dont recommend this stuff to anyone.

 | jemahonzeo (4) 09/10/2005 | I just purchased a can of Husky L/C Straight and it tastes horrible! I was always a Copenhagen fan until the prices went sky high. I switched to Kayak L/C Staight last year and liked it a lot. There was a promotion on an online retailer for $1.75/5 can roll at the time and I bought as much as I could. It now sells for $7.25/5 can roll so I figured I would try Husky at $4.75/5 can roll. Man am I glad I bought only 1 tin at a local market to try it out because I would have been stuck with a lot of this junk. I'm either going to stick with the Kayak and pay a little more or go with Grizzly, Longhorn, or Timberwolf which are just as good as the Kayak but a bit cheaper. It is a shame that USTC put out such a lousy product in order to compete with the other generic brands.

 | Husky6968 (0) 08/04/2005 | I foung this by accident. I was getting bored with Skoal i went through 2 sleeves of peach in just over a week. about a tin and a pinch a day (normally i get about 6-8 lips a tin) and as good as it tasted i needed a change. I saw husky wintergreen out of the corner of my eye and said id get a tin of that. 4.15 a hell of a lot cheaper than skoal at the place i buy it 8.70 a tin unless i buy sleeves then its 7.50 a tin. yes...expensive...but i wont buy anywhere else because i love the people that own the store. upon opening the tin it was a good wintergreen smell...like gum..wolf and a few other wintergreens smell like windex when u open the tin. it breaks up a little during the pack and breaks up a bit mid spit. cuts your gums good...first buzz ive got in almost 6 monthsgives a good amount of spit...but not too much that if your talking to someone your covering them in sweet tobacco juice. plus...the lid is bad ass...huskys kick ass. Husky gets a 4 because of its bad assness and loses that last start due to the mess of the pack grizz and skoal (minus peach) have easier packs. but its cheap and gets the job done...im all for husky
