 | irishgit (151) 06/22/2005 | Media hyped crap. Not exactly sterling work by the prosecution (witness choices particularly) and strong evidence that if you have the money to buy a great defense team, you're likely to skate. That being said, in the history of jurisprudence, this is a non-starter.

 | Randyman (109) 06/15/2005 | Despite the fact that I feel Michael Jackson is guilty of child molestation (and the parents of the boys were pimps), he got off because the prosecution did not make their case. They blew it. I also believe that it's just amatter of time before Jackson gets the urge again.

 | Redoedo (41) 06/14/2005 | Thankfully we will no longer be forced to hear about this 24/7 on every major news network. Quite amusing to me was the time that all the so-called legal experts put into predicting the outcome, which was painfully obvious from the beginning. Was anyone really surprised? The trial did, after all, take place in California. That state doesn't have a really good track record of ensuring justice, particularly when it comes to celebrities.

 | edt4 (110) 06/14/2005 | Well, it's all over, except for the coming months of talking-head analysis. For me, it will be interesting to see what happens to Michael Jackson. One possibility is that he will now feel untouchable and will act in an accordingly brazen manner. On the other hand, he will probably be treated as a pariah by a large segment of the population and be overcome by such self-loathing (which is already much in evidence; take one look at his mutilated pseudo-Caucasian face) that he'll self-destruct in a freakish and flamboyant Grand Finale. And watch the vultures like Nancy Grace and Diane Dimond descend to pick over the bones for the voyeuristic edification of their always-ravenous audience.

 | TJGypsy2 (7) 06/14/2005 | How can you NOT understand? Most of the witnesses the prosecution presented either A) ended up testifying FOR Jackson, or B) had some kind of public beef with him. They had no impartial witnesses at all. Three of the five boys that Michael supposedly molested took the stand FOR him, and the two that didn't did not take the stand against him. As for the illegal improsenment charge, that became a joke when we learned that the entire family left the ranch on at least two occasions, and never once tried to reach help, and they had access to phones on the ranch and never called for help. The simple fact is that the prosecution did not have a case in this instance. I really don't think Michael's fame won him this verdict. If anything, it probably worked against him. For once, where celebrities are concerned, I think the verdict was correct.

 | James76255 (23) 06/14/2005 | Thank God this is over! Basically, all that has to be proven is a reasonable doubt. When every witness the prosecution brings forward ahd some kind of law suit, some kind of book deal, some kind of story to sell to a tabloid... well, it's not going to sit well with a jury. Whatever you're opinion about his guilt or innocence, I think one thing is for sure: Michael Jackson should have gotten a dose of reality with this case. He isn't above the law, and he isn't going to be saved by Tinkerbell getting everyone to close thier eyes and think really hard. If he even looks at a 13 year old boy, he'll get nailed.

 | Belcher391 (0) 06/13/2005 | This is not right.. How can he get off? Well..... I mean on the charges against him? Must be nice to have that much money and power to be able to get away with this.. Not a good day for justice in USA. I am proud to be an american but this is a knock to our justice system.. I can't think of one use for Michael Jackson.. I never could and never will. He could just keep right on wilting up and could croak for all I care. I wouldn't miss him..
