I guess this could be a way of caring since you are taking a huge risk if they turn out to be irresponsible. Sorry but it would be extremely rare that I would be willing to do this myself.

Again, my dad cosigned for me years ago, for a car. I have never had to do this with my kids. They have always been on the ball and taken care of their own business.
