maybe those jerks who wanted to ban this book could not stand the fact that this novel hits too close to home for the human race. Orwell was clever to write this book. those who wanted to ban this probably cannot take a good look in the mirror.hmmmmmm what else would they want to ban?

The description doesn't indicate who wanted to ban this or why, so I'm a little bemused.

I could understand Josef Stalin wanting to ban it, but I'm not sure who else would, unless its some backwoods goober who thinks its Satanic to have animals talk.

Banning Orwell is so Orwellian. An interesting story: the animated film version of this book was produced by the CIA as anti-communist propaganda. Even more ironically, they changed the ending.

This story, not 1984, is Orwell's best work. In a very imaginative fashion, it portrays the curve/spectrum/series of events of Socialist/Communist revolutions that have played out again and again across the globe since Animal Farm was written.
