Design is nice staying with the script for years and the orange and blue go well together.

I got the perfect solution for these uniforms that have gotten off-track. First, Blue hats all the time, no more black hats. Second, black alternate gets trashed and replaced by a blue alternate. Third, no pinstriped home uniform. Just plain white, unless it's their blue alternate. Not that hard, is it?

I'm a long time Mets fan, so I am biased. But adding the black uniforms was a great move I thought. The only issue I had was with the white home uniform without the pin stripes.

I agree with pabob - the design is great, but the black sucks! Adding black to a uniform rarely works, and it's crass pandering to the marketplace to try to sell more merchandise. The uniforms the Mets wore from 1962-1977 were great. The royal blue caps are great. The mets seem to have forgotten that they wore royal blue and orange to adopt one color from each of the old NL teams that left NY - the Dodgers and Giants. By adopting black, they now have basically a variation of the Giants' uniforms with a smidgen of Dodger blue thrown in. So much for history.

The black scheme they threw into their unis a few seasons ago just plain sucks. Stick with the original color scheme and everything looks good. Be original-quit giving into marketing. The Yankees never have.
