The world received a rare and valuable gift recently: to hear the concensus voice of individual frenchmen and dutch voters and what they think of the minute machinations of their government leaders, working in secret without their input. What a shame we won't be able to witness the referenda from England, Germany and other potential union members, but the cat's out of the bag now, never to be stuffed back in.
