No and the world is terribly overpopulated as it is anyway.

Yes, 3.

No I don't want any more, and some days I don't want these.

No...to my knowledge (j/k)

Absolutely! I want enough (5 minimum) so that they have to take care of each other and the house becomes a DEN OF CRAZINESS!

The when criteria, however, is a real point of debate--the answer appears to be socioeconomically correlated, but I think the underprivileged might have struck gold with this one. I had this debate with a mid-60's woman, she was loaded, but only had one teenage kid. At that age I'd rather be welcoming fleets of grandchildren into the world and living alone with my spouse, even if I had to drop a tax bracket.

No, I neither want nor have any. I can take children in short doses but don't think I'd do well over the long haul with them.

Besides, the way the federal and California state tax codes are organized, it appears one of my primary functions for the past 15 years has been (and will continue to be) paying for the educations, maintenance, feeding, and often rehabilitation of other people's children.

I have no kids, and don't plan on having them. I wouldn't mind adopting, but I don't think I'd ever want to have my own.

I don't have any yet, but I do want some eventually. When I'm settled financially and in my own mind, then I'll be ready.

I have a one year old little boy who wasn't planned as I was just a newlywed, a new college grad and his daddy had just joined the military. But it has turned out to be the biggest blessing-in-disguise/gift/accident...whatever you want to call it. He is my sunshine and I only hope I can be the mommy he deserves.

I'm a bit skeptical about it because I saw my mother bring my little sister into the world last year so it's a little bit strange when thinking about it. One day I'll most likely cave in though. @ Tweazer: You are definitely fortunate to have Mad Hatter as your son. He's definitely a true gentle man and you can be thanked for that as well as his father. ;)

I have two, an 11 year old girl and an 8 year old boy. The greatest joy in the world is hearing the two of them laughing at something together. The biggest challenge is letting them make their own mistakes and learn from the experience. When I was 20 I wouldn't have been able to tell you whether or not I wanted to have children and at some time I probably would have uttered that that old line "I'm not sure I'd want to bring children into this world". But all of that changes when you get to the point in your life that you have found a person that you want to share the rest of your life with and you decide that the greatest way to make the world a better place is to start a family and give the world some more good people to tip the balance toward happiness.

I feel like I have kids already, my cats, my niece and nephew, and my 85 year old Daddy lol. I don't know if I have any energy left to produce my own kids.

YES, 5 children. Being a parent is the HARDEST job you'll ever love. My children & husband are the reasons I wake up with a smile on my face every morning. They are the reasons I push forward. They are all unique & wonderful human beings. It's a pleasure being a parent and I wouldn't change it for the world.

I don't have kids and don't know if I ever will. To be honest, I'd don't think I'd ever make a good mother.

No, I do not...thank God...I'm only almost 16. Do I want any...maybe. If any, I wouldn't want more than two. I don't think I have enough patience for more than that...I'm not that great with kids.

Four children. Your first born, from one father's perspective, changes your entire outlook on life, on what's important: how important bars are, how important golf is, how important quiet time (whatever that was) is and how important sleep is. Your second child makes you realize that you actually CAN love two as much as you loved the first, a stunning discovery. When your third child is born you are completely numb, confused and wondering how on earth are you gonna juggle three children and their needs, hold down a job (maybe two) continue (hopefully) to be a good husband AND occasionally golf at 6 am Sunday morning. When your fourth child is born (exactly five years and a month after your first was born) assuming your wife has not completely lost her marbles, or that you haven't (but why would YOU?) you're on autopilot. Nothing phases you including basement floods, decks needing to be built, swimming pool maintenance, lawns needing mowing or sneak attacks by savage indians. The day will come when you, your wife and all four children will attend a Toby Keith concert and each one (except you) states that it's the best concert they've ever attended. Yes, better days are coming.

Currently my wife and I have made the decision not to have children yet because we wouldn't be able to give them the attention they need and deserve. We used to feel guilty about it but we've realized that what would be more selfish is to deny a child the same substance we had when we were growing up.

No kids-I wouldn't rule it out in the future, but I would hope that I would be in a position where I could give my child a real advantage in the world. I feel the next generation is in for a very rough ride, and I wouldn't want to see my child have to struggle more than was humanely expected of them.

I'm not sure if I want kids and if I want to bring them into this world. If I do decide to have kids it would have to be with the right person who I most definitely without a doubt in my mind want to spend the rest of my life with and not someone whom I'm not sure about or have doubts about. I also think its important to raise my children in a loving and structured enviornment with the Father present and not elsewhere.

Not at the moment but I am not all that fussed. If I did have any kids, I would make sure I gave them the best child hood that I knew how to. I would be a loving father to them so that I could teach them what God is like.

I always say that i dont want kids, but if i met the right woman i might. Its all about working together as a couple. Best friends. I think child support can dent a mans wallet and cause major stress.

Im sure we all wonder what purpose there is for our existence. Ive come to the conclusion that its our contribution to the next generation. Our opinions and beliefs are the only thing we have to pass on. I have 5 children (4 boys, 16 years old to 9 years old and 1 princess, 14 years old). They are my main priority in life. They all have unique personalities and I enjoy spending time with all of them. Being a parent is hardest and best job on the planet.

Just one, Madhatter is mine. And to those of you who think bringing a kid into this world is a bad thing, I made the world a better place because of the kid I raised. If you do it right, so could you.

I have no kids and I don't want any. Never! It's too much of a burden, they're annoying, and you have to cater to their demands. Stupid kids.

No to the first part, and I'm not sure to the second. Everytime I wish I had kids, I visit a friend of mine that has four and I change my mind. Seriously, there is one child that might as well be mine, so it's almost like I do have one.
