I don't like it when you hear the bass that just rattles on the 1994 pimped out honda civics. It sounds like crap from outside I don't know what it must sound like on the inside.

When I was 14, my parents and I lived in this puny condo and below our balcony was a "side street." Every so often, some teenage punks would drive up this side street with the stereo blaring....at 4 IN THE MORNING! It drove my dad nuts!

I live behind a drive-in fast food restaurant where they blast their stereos at all hours of the night and day. I don't really mind the music (more like loud vibrating thumps, not music) in the afternoon, but after 1am or so it goes from annoying to extremely rude, invasive, and frankly criminal. When patience is pushed to an obscene level (when you can't just laugh it off anymore), you're asking for a third party to get involved, (like the police). My neighbors would never blast their stereos that loudly (they are more considerate than that), what makes people think that it's okay to sit there for hours blasting their car stereos horribly loud?

When i am at the local Speedway gas station filling my vehicles tanks with gas, i have the pleasure of listening to other peoples car stereo's that are annoyingly loud. It drives me nuts! I wish the local police could patrol the station at nights telling people to turn it down.

The only people that are happy are the people that have stock in hearing aids!

This is a bad one. I live right downtown so every Friday and Saturday night the idiots are out. However, I take solace in the fact that in Toronto the owners of these cars are all Italian/Portugese/Filipino guys in their mid-twenties who still live at home with their parents.

I have this happening regularly while I am in a history class. To the offender, grow the F up! This is a college campus! Leave that crap in high school where it belongs!

It seems to be a rule of science that the louder the music, the lousier it is. I always think it would be less painful and annoying if the people who did it had some sense of musical taste. I've yet to hear John Coltrane or Dinah Washington, or even the Beatles, blaring out of a car stereo from a block away.

That's annoying. These simpletons just want attention, though,so I usually pretend I don't hear it.It drives them nuts! I comfort myself with the knowledge that they will pay dearly for their obnoxious and ignorant behavior in a few short years with severe hearing losses.

Usually made worse by the music they choose to blast. As if I want to be forced into hearing your derogatory music while in the comfort of my own home or car. You may want to go deaf, but it doesn't mean that we should be forced or silenced into listening to your garbage.

It's getting to the point where sub-woofers should be banned or there should be a decible limit law or sound systems should come with built in cut off switch devices. Either that or let the public have a portable limited range electronic disrupter guns that will render the offensive sound systems useless.

I don't find it annoying I find it inconsiderate as not everyone has the same taste in music as the person in the car and why oh why does that person want the world to know their coming?
texasyankee 07/10/2005
It's not annoying. I find it rather funny. I could be sitting on my porch watching my chickens or whatever and all of a sudden I hear boom boom boom I am in the middle of NOWHERE!Nobody around for miles! I start thinking that this person must be lost and the boom boom boom is a signal of some sort so someone might find them.If my husband or my kids are with me, we usually have all sorts of fun making fun of them ;) One of the few things my husband finds amusing.

Full-blast car stereos are a cry for attention (my guess). The boomers want to show how important they are, and show off their super-loud status symbol. It's a case of Lookit what I got and you don't. It immature, as Donovan noted. It's also rude, invasive of privacy, inconsiderate, and anti-social.

A block away? The truth is that people who do this are always right next to you.If I get arrested for murder,I predict it be for blowing one a deese suckas away..
Jed1000 06/24/2005
If you can hear it from a block away then it's a safe bet that the people who are only half a block from the source are on the phone to the cops already.
Donovan 06/24/2005
This is just a sign of immaturity. It's pretty bad when you can not hear your TV inside your house because someone drives by with their car stereo cranked up to 60 gigawatz.
