I keep telling gal pals, if its so annoying to be singing off key, then stop trying to drag my butt off to karaoke night. I swear, you'll hear a rendition of A Boy Named Sue to the likes of which you've never heard, or would EVER want to hear.

I agree with Jed1000. Don't charge me outrageous prices to listen to some American Idol reject.

awwwy who are they hurting? everyone should sing if they feel like it. why should singing be only for those who have a good voice. I find the person who cuts the bad singer down the annoying one.

I actually like to hear people singing off-key - more power to them that they are willing to be happy and not be self-conscious.

I think it depends on the person. If you can't stand the person and they sing off key it can be annoying. Whilst if your fond of this person and they try soooo hard to sing in tune it can actually be seen as funny or even attractive.

Off key singing is extremely annoying!

I agree with Jed, depends on if you have had to pay to listen to it. Mostly it does not bother me too much, unless it is Roseanne Barr and her insane screeching and complete degradation of our national anthem.

Very annoying especially, like Randyman, you're the one who's singing off key (maybe THAT'S why I turn the radio up so loud in the car--to drown out my own voice!)

I think my level of annoyance would depend on whether or not I paid to hear the performance.

This is very annoying, and embarrassing, since I'm the one singing off key.
