I can't imagine wanting to spend a day watching TV. I think better of myself than that.

No sweat -- there are other things to do. I'd say forget the boob tube at present, and enrich your mind -- pick up a book!

can be upsetting if it is a show I have been waiting for all week and bam for some reason it goes out. there are not too many shows i care that much about. so no huge deal. last night we had that with American Idol. I did not care that much but my daughter a die hard fan just about was beside herself. our local station went out because of weather. thank goodness they aired it later for her to see.For the most part i would something else to do. and wait for the repeats.

I guess I am lucky, I don't think my cable has ever gone out in the 15 years I've had it.

I'd rather spend a day digging ditches than watching TV or Cable.Anyone dumb enough to pay all that money for cable deserves the annoyance.

Get a dish. UPDATE: They got good promos going... (numbah is shameless) UPDATE: See? The boy speaks the truth! (either that or I'm way too good at influencing him)

I have a Dish (of course being numbah roommate, I would have one) and I have only lost pitcure three times in three years, all do to some severe weather. (Two of which were hail storms.)

This happened to me once when I was trying to record a film in the early hours when I was too tired to stay up to watch it. I cannot describe how seriously annoying this was.

I never want to spend a day watching tv. The longest I spend watching tv is about 4-5 hours on Sundays, but even then I have to get up and do things. However it DOES bite big time if I am in the middle of something important and it starts raining... then the satellite goes out and when it gets a break, it takes time to load back in again, then a little rain cloud comes back and blocks my satellite and then reload.. over n over
