Assyrians are mentioned in the old testament as the hammer of the Jews. They are an ancient people who consider there home, the land between the Euphrates and tibras rivers which is in modern day Iraq. You can find Assyrians these day all of the world and most of them are Christian.

They are Christians from Iraq. There are quite a few in Chicago and Detroit.
