This is the least numerous branch of the Jews but was the most advanced and prosperous in the early days. The distinction between Sephardim and Askenazim is fast disappearing in these times. The first Jews to settle in America came from this branch of the religion.

Statistically, they are the brightest and most industrious sect/portion of the Jewish population.
