If I'm not mistaken,he lost his game show,'You Bet Your Life,' when he told a lady with a lot of kids,I like my cigar too,but I take it out, once in a while.(Update):Flick01 emailed me to ruin this story...Groucho said it...but the show never aired..Maybe we can petition them to show it..

 | Andrew Gilmore (10) 06/28/2005 | Manic, hilarious, brilliant insanity forming some of the funniest movies ever made. The Marx Brothers literally changed my life. I was about 8 years old when I first saw Horse Feathers. I wasn't a very creative kid at the time, but whatever it was that was waiting inside me was triggered by watching Horse Feathers. (When I graduated high school a few weeks ago, I opened my speech with Groucho's opening speech from Horse Feathers!) The Marxes- particularly Groucho- were a huge influence on me and my particular sense of humor. The Marx Brothers made me realize who I was and what I wanted to be- I have dedicated my life to making people laugh as often as possible. I am a compulsive wisecracker and punster now, and I owe it all to Groucho, Harpo, and Chico. To put it simply, the Marx Brothers have been my comedic idols for most of my life. I not only learned comedy from them, but I learned to view life differently. They taught me that life doesn't have to be taken so damn seriously all the time, that you should be allowed to be a little silly sometimes as long as what you do doesn't hurt anybody- and I'm glad that's a lesson I learned at such a young age. By the way, I know a lot of people champion Duck Soup as their best film, but personally I don't have a favorite- all their movies are filled with wonderful free-associative comedy which still makes me laugh after all these years. Hell, even their later movies for MGM are funny- their penultimate film, A Night in Casablanca, made me laugh out loud many times. My life wouldn't be the same without the Marx Brothers. They were inimitable comic geniuses, and may their 13 films make us laugh until the end of time.

I have not seen anything from any of them that does not at least make me smile, and usually make me laugh even if seeing it for the tenth or twentieth time. If I had to pick them, I go Marx Brothers, Monty Python, Abbot and Costello and Stooges.
