 | MissPackRat4Jesus (38) 10/20/2007 | I enjoyed this show when I was little, and I still enjoy it to this day. Some of the most talented young actors and actresses showed their stuff on this series. Now, I know some people like to nitpick, and say this program was "racist". That is NOT the impression I get. One thing I appreciate about this show is that they had INTEGRATED classroom scenes, and interracial friendships (such as the team of Buckwheat and Porky), showing that peace and harmony COULD be achieved, even during the Depression -- very ahead of its time. My favorite character is Spanky.

 | Djahuti (54) 06/30/2005 | Surely the best comedy series starring children EVER-who can forget Spanky,Alfalfa,Buckwheat & the Gang? Still funny to this day! As for those who cry racism-I think it was WAY ahead of it's time:those kids were FRIENDS-real Friends & that speaks volumes!!! If only adults could get along so well together TODAY!

 | texasyankee (21) 06/27/2005 | There were times I would be rolling with laughter, and other times my eyes would be glazed over, but nothing else on tv. Remember the hash episode?
