I used to LOVE the thin man movies, but since I just found out that Genghis likes them, I realized that I must have been wrong about them all along. I'm planning on renting them all in a couple of weeks - I'm going to watch them all in sequence, one right after the other, just to see how I missed all the stuff that seems to appeal to Mr. The Hun. Once I've seen the error of my ways, I'll come back and adjust my "star count" to reflect my revised reiew.
(I only hope Genghis doesn't suddenly take a liking to the original version of "Inherit the Wind".)

Stylish and high brow doesn't mean dull as we learned from the movie series. I wish we could see more of these. Much style in those days!

Oomph! Could there ever have been a time when such sophistication was possible in entertainment?

The best, in my opinion, of the mixed gender teams.

A more light hearted form of comedy that they did so well together. They were both master wits and this is what made them work so well. He was a detective and she was his modern, smart and resourceful wife. They made several Thin Man movies together, along with a few other comedy/dramas.
