Sometimes questionable tactics are necessary to save lives, but I must say that I am rather disgusted by the pictures that came out of Abu Ghraib, as it only intensifies the insurgency and provides terrorist masterminds with material to be used for recruitment. The individuals responsible for these activities should be brought to justice, as they have undermined the principles of this nation- one of which is that we are better than the terrorists, and that we will not resort to their tactics.

I can't believe that USA troops are involved in such a disaster. This shall bring shame for years on USA arms.

I dont care if your muslim, Buddist, or a snake charming weirdo, If your a terrorist your an enemy of freedom. I just cant be arrogant enough while Im sitting on my sofa down the street from the pool in my $110,000 house to point a finger at those under the gun and tell them how to go easy on the enemy, no matter who they are. Its the end result I care about. I pray that we are not acting like barbarians, but in the end, I still think we are the good guys.

We don't care about the interrogation techniques concerning this war because of our latent and obvious prejudice and racism concerning Muslims. The story and public reaction would be different if the prisoners were white, Christian, or Jewish.

Oh jeez. Lots of the people we had stacked into naked pyramids weren't even insurgents, let alone terrorists!

The images of Abu Ghraib and Gitmo, fairly or not, have become the public face of our war on terror, and have pissed off friends and foes alike. They have robbed us of our moral high ground, and have damaged our claim that we are spreading liberty. That the folks responsible for these policies still have jobs with GWB, and in fact have been promoted, is a puzzle to me.
